While being at the MNO, I realised that the MNOs have an insurmountable challenge in offering IoT connectivity and that there was one simple reason. MNOs are local, and IoT is global. That means that the needs of IoT devices surpass what the MNOs can offer outside of their geographical area, and even then, inside their own region, the device manufacturer will lack consistency across the MNO’s services. There was a huge gap.”

Uniquely, floSIM is fully compliant with the eUICC standard, so customers can benefit from an advanced, cost-effective floSIM, running inside their eUICC SIM, at no additional costor have a standalone floSIM, the choice is theirs. No matter what – they are always on, anywhere!
It is based on a globally distributed array of local core networks installed in critical countries and regions, where each core is connected to a local Mobile Operator which has dedicated IMSI ranges allocated. In addition, as the IoT solutions are provided in collaboration with local carriers, this eliminates roaming restrictions.
Next, floLIVE’s IoT Connectivity Management platform, floCONTROL, is a complete IoT platform designed for IoT, targeted mainly at mobile operators and IoT Service Providers. It allows them to manage and control their IoT operations from end to end. It comprises several building blocks that can either operate on a standalone basis or form an integral part of a complete IoT solution suite. These include automated connectivity management, IoT-oriented LTE/5G core network, SIM management, and Business Support Systems (BSS).

The flexibility of the floSIM itself is also a key differentiator for floLIVE. floLIVE’s smart SIM solution is responsible for configuring, controlling and managing SIM cards over-the-air (OTA) and allows connectivity to be always on, anywhere. The technology is highly flexible and offers multiple IMSIs on the same SIM. This allows for tight granular connectivity policies such as autonomous switching in areas of poor availability. With centralised control, an organisation has a detailed view of every SIM and isn’t limited to just when the device is awake and checking in.
